Pragya is an international federation of locally registered non-government organisations working to address poverty and hunger through socially and environmentally sustainable development, with a particular focus on remote and marginalised communities.

At the Ethical Property centre The Foundry, we form the UK branch of Pragya.

Pragya’s mission is to enable grassroots sustainable development for the poorest, most neglected communities in remote and marginal societies, in a way that preserves and promotes local cultures and fragile ecosystems. To achieve this, we work closely with the impacted communities, conduct policy research, and facilitate development projects focusing on underserved regions and marginalised people.

National Children's Orchestras

Young musicians from National Children’s Orchestras performed at the House of Commons in March, at the launch of the Children’s Commissioner’s The Big Ambition.

The specially formed NCO quintet played to an audience including Robin Walker MP, the Children's Commissioner Rachel de Souza, her Youth Ambassadors, assembled guests, as they shared stories and results from a 3 year project which heard from one million children across England, about what they want from politicians ahead of the next General Election.

The rest of the 2024 NCO programme has also kicked off in style this spring with seven 100-strong orchestras of remarkable young musicians undertaking their orchestral weekends and residential weeks before performing to assembled families, friends and members of the public!

Across the country, growing numbers of newly granted refugees are being forced into homelessness as they are evicted from Home Office accommodation.

In response to this crisis, Christian homeless charity, Housing Justice, has recently launched the Refugee Lodgings Project in London which enables resident landlords to rent out their spare room to a refugee lodger for six months while they re-build their lives and find a more permanent home. Housing Justice supports both the lodger and the resident landlord, who is expected to charge rent in line with the Local Housing Allowance.

We are the One Stop Shop for Vocational Renewable Training!

At The Pituitary Foundation, we are celebrating our 30th year! Since 1994 we have been supporting anyone affected by pituitary conditions and we will continue to be here for future generations.

We’ve changed a lot in those 30 years, starting from a small group of volunteers and medical professionals. Currently, we have 22 support groups, 2,000 members, and last year alone our helplines answered over 2,400 phone calls. Today, our cause is still as clear and compelling as ever: to improve care and reduce diagnosis time for pituitary conditions.
